Skoda has upgraded their flagship model, the Skoda Superb. The Superb will be Skoda’s first car featuring innovative full LED Matrix headlights, even more safety features and an increase of comfort.
The design sketch for the Skoda Superb includes a LED module for the dipped and high beam, with a further 3 LED high beam segments. The car will also include LEDs to provide indicators, daytime running lights and position light. Above these are fine needle-like LED structures, which are part of the new animated Coming/Leaving Home feature. When turning on and off the car, this feature automatically turns elements of the headlights and tail lights on and off in a specified sequence.
The video below shows the new full LED Matrix headlights and the Coming/Leaving Home animation in action and illustrates how they work. It also shows the redesigned fog lights featuring LED technology and the full LED tail lights. As a firstfor the vehicle, these come with dynamic indicators that illuminate in an outward sweeping motion. Not only do these provide a more dynamic appearance, they are also more noticeable for other road users and increase road traffic safety.
